For over a century, the Jablonex factory in the Bohemia, now Czech Republic, has been manufacturing colourful moulded beads for the African trade. These beads are traditionally associated with weddings in Mali, West Africa, when a string of these beads would be offered as a present to the bride. These recent lipstick red Mali wedding beads are made with the original moulds in one of the original colours. The selection of beads seen here will be very similar to those you buy. Choose from three lengths 40cm, 43cm, 46cm (try measuring one of your existing necklaces). Length shown 46cm.
